As an empath myself I can tell you that we are are highly sensitive, emotional finely tuned individuals. They feel everything and anything to an extreme. They use their intuition to filter through the world. Empaths are nurtures by nature, spiritually attuned, good listeners who are naturally giving to others.
They know where you're coming from, often before you know it yourself. Some empaths can do this without absorbing other people's emotions or feelings; just by using their highly tuned intuition.
If empaths are around happy, loving and peaceful people they flourish. However, negativity is another story. Empaths often feel exhausted and emotionally drained by being around toxic people and behaviors. Because of this, they're particularly easy targets for energy vampires. Energy vampires do more than just drain an empath’s physical energy. Narcissist, are particularly dangerous for them as they are complete opposite end of the spectrum and lack empathy, remorse and are only concerned about themselves. These narcissists can make the empaths believe that they are unlovable or unworthy of love.
