What Is An Old Soul?



We are spiritual beings having a human experience. Our souls possess eternal life and reincarnation cycles. Each time we incarnate on Earth, we have an important purpose and mission. The real home of our soul is the Spirit World. Earth is a training ground for souls for learning spiritual lessons. Each time we reincarnate on Earth, we experience different realities and perspectives to cultivate ourselves in infinite directions.


It is believed that our personal capabilities, experiences and characteristics reflect if we have lived on Earth before. The more experiences we have on Earth, the more wise, mature and gifted we are in spirituality and other areas of our life. Most likely, we have all reincarnated on Earth, however some of us have gone through this cycle more than others. Signs your soul has reincarnated many times:


You Have Strong Intuition


Everyone has intuition. Some people are better able to tap into their intuition. Intuition is the ability to balance the conscious and unconscious mind and our own inner knowing and inner guidance. As our souls mature, our ability to return to the source (known as enlightenment, oneness, nirvana, alchemy) increases to form the collective consciousness. This is a universal body of knowledge and wisdom.


You’re an Empath


As an empath myself I can tell you that we are highly sensitive, emotional finely tuned individuals. They feel everything and anything to an extreme. Empaths are nurtures by nature, spiritually attuned, good listeners who are naturally giving to others. The trademark of an empath is that they absorb and feel other people’s emotions and/or physical symptoms as their own because of their heightened sensitivities. They filter the world through their intuition and have a difficult time intellectualizing their feelings. They know where you're coming from, often before you know it yourself. Being an empath is a sign your soul has undergone many previous reincarnations and has refined to the point of transcending the individual self and extending to others as well.


You Are Wise Beyond Your Years


Some people you meet are "old souls" while some are forever “young at heart” even during their older years. When you feel older than your age reflects, commonly this is because you have reincarnated many times before. Common characteristics of being an old soul are: wisdom, knowledge, heightened intuition, maturity and psychic gifts and abilities. When you have reincarnated a few times on Earth, you would display primitive child-like qualities like: immaturity, egoism, bullying, blaming and having no patience.


You Don't Feel At "Home"


From a child, you have a strong desire to go back "home" which can be returning back to the source (divinity,oneness, unity consciousness). Souls that have reincarnated on Earth many times have a basic need to finish this lifetime and return home. When you feel this Earth is not your home, you often have feelings of exhaustion, being home sick, not relating well with others and missing your soul family.



Fears/Phobias that are Unexplained


Certain experiences and memories from past lives can attach to our consciousness and continue in future lives. Examples of this can be: fear of heights and falling, fear of animals, fear of foreign places, fear of drowning, fear of driving etc.


Déjà vu Is Common



Déjà vu is a weird feeling that we have already experienced or lived a moment in time before.  We've all experiences some sort of déjà vu before and often it is triggered by people, places, sounds, smells, tastes and other sensations. 



Recurring Dreams


Sometimes our recurring dreams are reflections of past life experiences that are still lingering and need to be closed out. I have reoccurring dreams of waiting on a beach waiting for a tsunami to hit. I know I've never been there in this physical life but this reoccurring dream feels very vivid and real.



I would recommend that you use your own inner knowing, guidance and intuition to come to your own conclusion about reincarnation. Don't let anyone (even me) persuade you into what your soul already knows. When you have found out that the true meaning of life isn't: fame, fortune, power, greed, egoism and materialism but developing personal traits like: unconditional love, bliss, self honesty, self respect, humbleness, modesty, unity consciousness - then it's time to act accordingly. Draw from your own life experiences. Take advantage of this incarnation. This is your life and it's all about YOU!

Face whatever is holding you back head on and it no longer has power over you, you have power over it! Awareness and anything can't co exist. Awareness is more powerful than your ego, your emotions, your thoughts and your feelings. Awareness is what gets you back home to your soul purpose.


You can use your pain and turn it into power. If you are willing to work on where your pain comes from, the lesson to be learned and turn your knowledge into action, you can use your suffering to turn you into a stronger and wiser person!
