What Crystals Should You Use?

I've included a crystal guide below to help you get started with crystals to use for which problems and situations. I would recommend you use your intuition to naturally be your best guide to the perfect choice. You can ask the crystal or stone how they want to be used. This may seem a little silly at first as your rational mind doesn't always know the answer but your subconscious mind does.

White/Clear: Clearing

Examples: Quartz, Selenite, Moonstone

Uses: Since white and clear healing crystals are very absorbent, they are perfect for learning and cleansing any type of energy. I would recommend using clear quartz during meditation and yoga as it clears and calms the mind. Make sure you clean your quartz regularly as they absorb lots of energy. I use smudging or saging with various herbs to do this. You can also soak your crystals in Himalayan sea salt.

Pink: Loving

Examples: Rose Quartz, Rhodonite, Morganite

Uses: Pink healing crystals vibrate a loving, compassionate energy that you can use for anything that needs little bit of sweetness. If you want to feel the love I would recommend using pink crystals that are also great for deflecting anger and drawing in romance.

Red: Energizing

Examples: Ruby, Jasper, Garnet

Uses: If you need a little pick me up, you can wear or carry around a red stone. Red healing crystals have a lot of energy and invoke sudden surges of energy.

Green: Balancing

Examples: Jade, Malachite, Emerald

Uses:  If you need to balance your energy, green gemstones are a great option for that. They don't get rid of the negative energy like clear quartz instead they redirect the energy flows in the right direction and balance them out.

Brown: Allowing

Examples: Halite, Tiger’s Eye, Petrified Wood

Uses: If you want to get grounded and connect to earth I would recommend you use brown healing crystals. They guide, protect and clear the way for you. You can use them when you want to make room in your life for something new like a new home, car or relationship.

Orange: Releasing

Examples: Sunstone, Copper, Aragonite

Uses: When you are feeling down doesn't the sunshine always make you feel better? That's because orange is a soothing and energizing color. If you are feeling down or dragging your feet I would recommend you use them to boost your energy. Orange healing stones release negative energy and clear out room to boost your energy.

Yellow: Aligning

Examples: Sulphur, Amber, Mookaite

Uses:  If you want to reorganize your energy patterns, I would recommend yellow gemstones. These healing crystals are perfect for when you’re trying to break an old habit or instill a new healthy one. Yellow crystals don't just cleanse energy, they reorganize it.

Violet: Uplifting

Examples: Amethyst, Sugilite, Iolite

Uses: Since violet vibrates at a high frequency it's very powerful. Violet crystals help connect you to the higher realms of existence. If you need to be uplifted, want to experience a spiritual journey or call on higher powers to guide you violet gemstones are perfect for that.

Indigo: Calming

Examples: Kyanite, Lapis, Azurite

Uses: When life gets chaotic, treat yourself to the calming soothing power of dark blue/ indigo healing gemstones. They help to mellow out stressed, anxious, fragile energies.

Blue: Communicating

Examples: Sapphire, Angelite, Sodalite

Uses: Blue healing crystals are all about communications and openness. If you want to find the truth or be revealed something work with blue crystals for healing.

Black: Protecting

Examples: Tourmaline, Obsidian, Apache Tears

Uses: If you need to repel and kind of energy use black stones to drive those negative energies away from you. Black healing crystals deflect everything! They are resilient and strong making them the perfect protecting crystals.

Which color healing crystals and stones do you use? I'd love to hear all about your experiences in the comments below!

Namaste ~ Paulina
