Hugging Trees Is Good For Your Health!

fromanotherealm

escape to the forest, If you are looking to reduce your stress!

In our modern day world there is a lot of stress in our lives. This is why more and more people are using nature therapy like tree hugging to release stress and anxiety.

There are many benefits to hugging trees like:

Increases the level of the hormone oxytocin. Oxytocin is responsible for emotional bonding and feeling calm. When you hug a tree the hormones dopamine and serotonin make you feel happier.

Literally, hugging a tree is a breath of fresh air. This is because the freshest air you can breathe is under a tree. Trees filter our air by removing particles, toxins and dust. When we breathe in cleaner air we lower our blood pressure, enhance digestion and automatically put ourselves in a better mood.

Forest Bathing

This practice enhances the immune system. Just by taking a walk in the forest, it can make you feel more connected, healthier, happier and stronger. This is because the essential wood oils in the air called phytoncides that are emitted by the trees increase the number of cells in the body. These cells help combat disease and sickness. Also with forest bathing our five senses are strengthened. The more you forest bathe, the stronger your five senses will become.

Talk to Trees

When you are out forest bathing, I would recommend that you talk to the trees. Tell them your hopes, dreams, aspirations, problems and fears. Trees are the best counselors because they are free of charge, trustworthy and good at listening. The benefits of talking to trees is: you will feel less judgmental, have more mental and physical clarity and feel happier and lighter as a result of the emotional cleansing you have just experienced.

Talk to Yourself

Use the forest as a place where you can be completely free to be honest, authentic and transparent with yourself. Did you know that self talk increases self confidence and decreases stress levels? Self talk allows us to freely express our most inner thoughts, feelings and emotions. When I am walking in the forest I have a gratitude walk.

Basically as I ground to nature barefoot, I say out loud everything I AM grateful for. When I first started this practice last year it was hard for me to think of 10 things I was grateful for. A year later, I am able to find 100's of things that I AM personally grateful for and my list continues to grow with daily practice. By incorporating this into my spiritual practice on a day to day basis I AM making gratitude a meaningful, intentional and conscious part of my life.

Next time you are walking in the forest, don't forget to cry, shout, laugh and feel your emotions all at the same time!

Going through a spiritual awakening?

During an awakening, it may be useful to have some professional guidance: someone who can confidently, patiently and without judgement help us, step by step through the healing process. If you are in need of someone to talk with about triggers, past trauma, childhood wounds or repressed emotions. I am available for online booking please contact me directly at: fromanotherealm@gmail.com

Face whatever is holding you back head on and it no longer has power over you, you have power over it! Awareness and anything can't co exist. Awareness is more powerful than your ego, your emotions, your thoughts and your feelings. Awareness is what gets you back home to your soul purpose.

You can use your pain and turn it into power. If you are willing to work on where your pain comes from, the lesson to be learned and turn your knowledge into action, you can use your suffering to turn you into a stronger and wiser person! I look forward to working with you on your spiritual journey.
