“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” ~ Albert Einstein
In spirituality, gratitude is considered the gateway to bliss. Gratitude is not only good for your mental, physical, emotional and spiritual health as it is directly related to spiritual transcendence. Being grateful on a daily basis expands our spiritual growth and evolution. It helps to open up the heart chakra and connect to your Soul and Higher Self. Being grateful spreads joy, bliss, happiness and helps you reach elated states of being. Learning to be grateful for what we have in the present "now"and every moment helps you to be mindful which is one of the highest spiritual teachings.
There are many things we can be grateful for in our day to day lives. For one, you can start by being grateful for the food you are eating and bless your food. Get out into nature and you can see all the blessings all around you- the trees, flowers, mountains, rivers, oceans, birds and wildlife to name a few. Being grateful for the roof over your head, the food in your belly, the money in your bank will attract more of this! By being grateful to the universe and giving thanks you elevate your consciousness into higher consciousness. By doing so, your perspective on life changes and you automatically feel supported, loved and abundant in all areas of your life.
For me personally, being grateful is a way of life and a state of mind. Before my spiritual awakening I was a very pessimistic person and always was looking for the negative in every situation. I AM proud to say that I AM no longer that way. I live, love and enjoy my life and acknowledge my blessings on a daily basis. Being grateful has changed my perspective on life into a positive one and has opened up my heart to not only receive joy, love, and bliss but to give it to others. I have incorporated a "gratitude walk" into my daily practice. Basically as I ground to nature barefoot, I say out loud everything I AM grateful for. When I first started this practice last year it was hard for me to think of 10 things I was grateful for. A year later, I am able to find 100's of things that I AM personally grateful for and my list continues to grow with daily practice. By incorporating this into my spiritual practice on a day to day basis I AM making gratitude a meaningful, intentional and conscious part of my life.
“Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.” ~Oprah Winfrey
Being grateful is an integral part of living a happy, balanced and healthy life. It's been scientifically proven that starting off each day with gratitude and love cultivates a positive, joyful and blissful lifestyle. Below is a list of the benefits of gratitude:
Leads to bliss:
Want to increase your happiness levels by 10 percent in 21 days? All it takes is incorporating gratitude into your daily routine. You can start off by writing all the things you are grateful for in a journal or repeating them out loud. I recommend you do this at the same time everyday so that you establish a daily routine.
Improves your physical health:
When you practice gratitude on a daily basis, your physical health improves in many ways. For example, writing in your gratitude journal for a couple of minutes before bed promotes positive sleep habits and patterns. Improved sleep means sleeping for longer, deeper and better especially for those who suffer from insomnia. Sleeping better during the night means your body has more energy during the day which increases mental functions. When you sleep better, you automatically feel better and as a result want to eat better.
Reduces anger, agitation and aggression:
Want a shot of dopamine? Experiencing daily gratitude does that for you! Dopamine is known as a "happy chemical" which triggers feelings of bliss, joy, abundance, optimism and happiness. This leads to us wanting more of it which drives us to enhance our life and overall success. Feeling grateful also triggers another positive chemical in your brain: serotonin. Commonly known as the "happy molecule" enhances brain functions, happiness, moods, motivation, willpower and is like an antidepressant. Being grateful increases positive emotions and letting go of negative emotions that no longer serve you like: anger, agitation, aggression and self pity to name a few.
“Gratitude is the healthiest of all human emotions. The more you express gratitude for what you have, the more likely you will have even more to express gratitude for.” ~Zig Ziglar
Success rates increase:
Living a happy, positive life your desire to be successful automatically increases. This increases your motivation to develop new skills, work hard and help others in new and exciting ways. You feel more fulfilled as we are hardwired to be grateful. You will experience improved mental, physical, emotional and spiritual health from finding new confidence in yourself. The world is your oyster!
Increased meaningful relationships:
When we are grateful those around us can feel it radiating from within us. Because of this, it encourages more people to show gratitude for what they have in life. When you openly express your gratitude, people are drawn to you and your good vibrations you are emitting. You are a magnet for positive people, situations, circumstances, etc to come into your life. Being grateful creates room for new, positive, optimistic, and mindful people who are a vibrational match that resonate with us on a soul level to enter our lives.

Face whatever is holding you back head on and it no longer has power over you, you have power over it! Awareness and anything can't co exist. Awareness is more powerful than your ego, your emotions, your thoughts and your feelings. Awareness is what gets you back home to your soul purpose.
You can use your pain and turn it into power. If you are willing to work on where your pain comes from, the lesson to be learned and turn your knowledge into action, you can use your suffering to turn you into a stronger and wiser person! I look forward to working with you on your spiritual journey.
