Change Is The Only Constant: How To Live A Fuller Life?

From Another Realm

I think many of us have a love/hate relationship with change. With change comes the unknown, and uncertainty can be difficult to accept. Change often involves risks and this adds to the challenge of embracing change.

Using mindfulness is one way we can develop a more positive outlook on change. What is mindfulness? It is the act of focusing on the present moment in a nonjudgmental way. It involves not being attached to certain outcomes while noticing and accepting what is in the "present now."

Change is the only thing that is constant in life. Look at the Moon, the seasons, the changes in weather. Just like the ever changing seasons, life and people change too. The more we embrace change and transformation the better our lives become!

“The only thing that is constant is change.” ~ Heraclitus

Change is going to happen regardless if you want it to or not. How can you learn to embrace change? Here are some suggestions:

1. See change as good:

View change as beneficial and positive vs something to be avoided. You cannot stop change from happening so when you embrace it it will be easier to live a productive and happy life. Remember that with change, you make room for new and better aligned experiences/ people to enter your life.

2. Feel yourself grow.

Change allows you to grow and evolve into a better version of yourself. When you embark on new adventures, heal from past trauma and hurts, gain new experiences and explore new hobbies and areas of interest, you will start to feel yourself evolving and changing. This will give you more confidence to surrender, let go and release control and expectations.

3. Surround yourself with growth oriented people.

You are who you surround yourself with. If your group of friends cultivate and embrace change they will have a profound effect on your receptiveness to welcome change into your life. If they are open minded, positive, learn from previous mistakes they are likely a pleasure to be around and will help to inspire you to reach your own goals. Make it a point to surround yourself with individuals who view change as a positive experience to living a purposeful and rewarding life.

4. Look for ways to change and incorporate them into your life.

Instead of doing the same routine everyday, actively seek to do things differently. This makes your life more enjoyable, diverse, dynamic and gradually adds change into your life. Connect to a new group devoted to something you've never done but have always wanted to do. Join a new hobby. Get a makeover. Be creative. Do whatever inspires you to become a better version of yourself.

Face whatever is holding you back head on and it no longer has power over you, you have power over it! Awareness and anything can't co exist. Awareness is more powerful than your ego, your emotions, your thoughts and your feelings. Awareness is what gets you back home to your soul purpose.

You can use your pain and turn it into power.
